In Rememberance

On October 5th, 2009, Mr. Curt Kennedy passed away. Curt Kennedy was a founding member of High Point Charter School. His teaching style has left an indelible mark upon our students. He encouraged every student to think independently, to question and explore the world around them, and to value the importance of lifelong learning. His belief that every student is capable of greatness has shaped High Point School into what it is today—a place where each student can thoroughly explore topics of interest to them. In his remembrance, we have posted a link to his 'Your thoughts' blog. It is thought provoking, inspiring, and creative. The students and staff of High Point are creating a fund and memorial at High Point School to honor him. Curt Kennedy will be greatly missed at High Point and in our community. He was a teacher, an innovator, and a father figure to many.
