NOTE: Use
Internet Explorer
You must
uninstall all previous versions of Java.
To
download the version of Java compatible with SOE forms on Educator Access Plus: http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.1_07/index.html
Click the
JRE DOWNLOAD link.
You must
accept the license agreement to download Java.
Select the Accept License Agreement radio button. The webpage will refresh.
Then
click the edition listed to download the version below:
Windows (
If you
receive a security alert, click yes or OK.
The File
Download prompt will appear.
Select Run.
*** If
you are not given a Run option, select Save. A Save As
prompt box will appear, browse to your desktop location, click Save. The file will save to your computer. When the file has completely downloaded,
there will be a prompt indicating that the file transfer is complete. This prompt will ask you if you wish to open
the file or close the prompt. Select
OPEN. Follow the instructions
below.
If you
mistakenly click close the prompt box, you can browse to your desktop and
double-click the saved file named: j2re-1_4_1_07-windows-i586.exe. Continue with the instructions below. ***
The
application will execute.
You will
receive an Internet Explorer Security Warning requesting confirmation to run
the software.
Select
Run.
The Java InstallShield Wizard will run.
When the
License Agreement appears, select Yes.
You must accept this agreement to install Java.
When
asked to select the Setup Type, choose Typical and click Next.
The
installation will run.
When the
installation is complete, the InstallShield Wizard
will close.
Java is now
installed on your computer.
