To Restore Office Desktop Icons
and Program Menu Shortcuts
Browse to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11

Within
the OFFICE11 folder, browse to the icon of your choice (shown above), which
corresponds to the missing program shortcut.

Right-click on the program
icon and select Send To > Desktop (create shortcut)

The shortcut will be
placed on the desktop.

Right-click on the
shortcut icon and select Rename.

Type “Microsoft Office
Word 2003” and hit Enter.

Right-click
the icon and select Cut.
Browse to:
C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Desktop

From the file menu select Edit
> Paste. The icon will appear.

The icon has been restored
to your desktop will now be available to all users who log onto this computer.
To restore a shortcut to
your program menu, continue below.

Right-click
the icon and select Copy.
Browse to:
C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office

From the file menu select Edit
> Paste. The icon will appear.

The icon has been restored
to your program menu and will now be available to all users who log onto this
computer.
