Choose your library by clicking on the individual school’s name.

 

You are able to search any collection you wish. 

 

 

 

You will be directed to the card catalog interface. 

 

There are three types of searches, the advanced search, the quick search and the visual search.  You are able to use the search of your choice by clicking on the icons located on the left side of the screen.

You can search the collection using keyword, title, author, subject, etc.   Using the dropdown box, select the search of your choice. 

 

**KEYWORD will search the entire collection for your term in the material records title, author, subject and other documented information.  In many cases you will get very broad results**

 

The  command on the right side of the search field will allow you to view a list of all valid search terms. 

 

At any time throughout your search, if you wish to start over, click the  icon in the upper, right corner to refresh the screen. 

 

In this example, we are searching the whole high school collection for materials with the subject ‘dog’.

**HS Staff: If you wish to search only audio visual- select COPY TYPE ‘AV’.

The search result materials are displayed as above.  The title, call number, author, publishing date and summary are provided for browsing. 

 

You may sort the results using the dropdown box:  Title, Author, Call Number, etc.

 

Take note of the circulation status, if the material is currently circulating, the book with appear as “Out.”

 

 

By clicking on the title of the book, you will be able to view the detailed record. 

 

 

You are able to add materials to a list.  This allows you to group the materials of your choice to be able to print or save the list.  You will then be able to bring the list to the LMC to browse or check out the materials.

To view your list, click the ‘My List’ tab on the top of the page.  From here you will be able to print or save your list.

Using the ‘My Library Info’ tab patrons will be able to view their circulation info.

 

You will be asked for your Patron ID number (students: your 6 digit lunch #) and your Surname. 

 

 

Patrons can view their checkouts, holds, bookings and fines. 

 

STAFF ONLY

 

 

Staff patrons have the ability to place LMC materials on hold. 

 

You will find this feature on the individual material record not the title list page.  Click the  command. 

 

You will be asked for your six-digit Patron ID number (your lunch pin) and your Surname. 

 

A text box will be displayed indicating that the hold was successful:

 

 

 

Staff members also have the ability to remove their holds using the ‘My Library Info’ tab.  Log in using your Patron ID and Surname as previously instructed.   

 

 

Select the remove box and click the  command.
