Creating Automatic Email Responses

 

 

 

Groupwise menu path:  Tools > Rules

 

 

Click the New… button.

 

 

Type a name for your rule.  Example: Vacation response

 

Be sure to check the Received box and the Mail box. 

 

Click on the Add Action button, from the drop down menu choose the Reply… action.

 

 

Complete the Subject and Message fields as you wish and click OK.

 

 

Your action will be shown as above.  Be sure to click SAVE!! 

 

 

You have just created an email response rule.  The rule will be active as long as the box shown above is checked.  Click Close.

 

When you return to the office:

 

 

Groupwise menu path: Tools > Rules

 

 

Uncheck the box shown above and click Close.  You will no longer have an active automatic email response.
